You may be starting to notice a definite theme to our choice of destinations for this trip!
From Paso Robles, we headed to the Russian River Valley, an area in southern Mendocino County just north of the Sonoma County line. The area is best known for its many wineries and for water based recreation.
We stayed in an RV Park along the Russian River which provided very limited water access, unfortunately. However, we did spend time at a few wineries in the area, a particular favorite being Dry Creek Vineyards, whose wine club we ended up joining. They are justly well regarded for their Zinfandel, but their Cabernet Franc was a delightful surprise.
