Our journey began in Palm Springs August 9th, 2023. We were ultimately headed to Seattle, approximately 1200 miles from where we began, so we were focused more on moving up the road than we were in stopping to explore along the way. In addition, daytime temperatures in Northern California and Oregon of 100 degrees plus and multiple active wildfires in the area served to eliminate any desire we might have had to linger!
We did stop for several days along our route in Paso Robles, where daytime high temperatures were in the upper 80’s, which was a welcome change from the triple digits in Palm Springs, and allowed us to enjoy our wine tastings outdoors. This has become a favorite destination for us, so I’ll more to say about it in later posts.
From Paso Robles, we continued along Hwy 101 North to Sonoma County.
Beautiful pictures! You visited some of my favorite places. I love all of the places you visited, but Carmel holds a special place in my heart because it was my destination the first time I drove up the PCH, and I fell in love with it. Thank you for sharing these great photos with us.
