Our most recent journey began in Palm Springs on August 9. We got off to a rather slow start, in terms of sights seen and photographs taken, for a number of reasons. Since our ultimate destination was Seattle, Washington, approximately 1200 miles from where we began, we were rather focused on moving on up the road. Temperatures in Northern California and Oregon of 100 degrees or more and wildfires in the Pacific Northwest and Canada which impacted air quality and visibility also eliminated any desire we might have had to linger!
So, as you will see, we don’t have much to tell you about the first week or so of our journey. It was only when we reached Seattle and then the Oregon and California coasts that we left the heat and the fires behind.
Beautiful pictures! You visited some of my favorite places. I love all of the places you visited, but Carmel holds a special place in my heart because it was my destination the first time I drove up the PCH, and I fell in love with it. Thank you for sharing these great photos with us.
